John Zadrozny, Past President

I have over 23 years of paddling experience, from Florida to Quebec, North Carolina to California. I have been a CCC member since 1988 and served as CCC President for the past two years (2008-2009). I am an ACA-certified whitewater kayak instructor (since 1992) and an ACA-certified whitewater kayak instructor trainer (IT) since 2007. As an instructor for CCC, I developed and taught the "First Descent" clinic for CCC advanced paddlers. My current occupation(s) - p/t FAA Flight Instructor; p/t Whitewater Kayak Instructor for Raleigh Parks and Recreation.

I feel strongly that the Club is an extremely valuable resource for the paddling community as well as the community of non-paddlers (the media, jurisdictional authorities, policy-makers and regulators, etc.). I will strive to continue to strengthen the Club"s ties to both communities and will continue to identify issues worthy of the Club"s considered advocacy.

The Club is a well-respected organization and I will continue to concentrate my efforts to enhance the reputation of the Club as an innovative resource for its members and an influential and progressive resource for both the paddling and non-paddling communities.
