Trip Coordinator Rich Ruhlen is one amazingly organized person!  This trip had no fewer than 27 paddlers leaving from a very busy campground on a gorgeous Saturday before Easter Sunday.  Rich consolidated all into twelve vehicles leaving three cars at each of two possible take-outs. At the put-in, Rich quickly divided us into three manageable groups:  single bladers first with Rich in the lead; second were the novices lead by veteran APES (local paddling group) , Nancy Price Kestner ; third were more experienced CCC boaters like the Brabecs.  It was a spectacular sunny day on a beautiful class 2 river.  Some interesting rapids, fun play spots, lots of eddy-hopping, lunch at the dam.  Half of the group took out at Drowning Ford Road and the rest paddled down to Alvarado Road.  No swims.  Good times by all.

Let’s do it again!
