Milo Duffek Leaves Us
Milo Duffek died on February 25th, at the age of 94. Milo was a legendary figure in the international paddling community. An innovator in technique, a superlative racer who didn’t need to win, a life-long teacher and athlete, Milo is best remembered as a champion for international exchange and cooperation.
Kent Ford provided this excerpt on Milo Duffek from his documentary, “The Call of the River.” Kent competed with Milo’s son, Milo Duffek, Jr. in the Olympics and other international slalom events.
