We got on a low FB9 run on Sat w/ Marcos Harkness and Jeff, mostly small changes read & run (see Mort Cone ‘s post earlier). Cave is still there but full of junk (siding w/ screws), below cave new slides open: left (small cable in it but mostly out of play), middle and right (the old one), all on river right. River banks are full of wires, pipes and debris, if/when cleanup starts, it’ll take forever to even put a dent into it. Stackhouse has space for at least 3 vehicles w/o 4-wheel drive (courtesy of gravel donation from railroad). Railroad is not operational (tracks levitating in places), this will likely be another issue when they start fixing it. I think it’s time to hit the rivers again and to spend some $$ in local businesses, esp. Asheville is desperate for visitors! Restaurants/bars/stores are open but empty and give you a very warm welcome.
