Amazing trip on the Nantahala Saturday and the Tuckasegee on Sunday. Great weather both days. PFDs of both rivers for most of our group. The Nantahala paddle was Nathan Anderson, Chris Brewer, Jen Hodge, David Humphreys, and Gerald Keplinger. Everyone put in above Pattons and took out after the falls. A lot of skill building took place for our newer paddlers and fun was had by all. Before putting in, we scouted the Pattons section from the river side and were aware of the lines through that section. We also got out to scout the lines for the falls before running them, and everyone ran the falls. Day 2 at the Tuck, we added Jason Hicks and Robert Weddle to our group and had another beautiful day. We all practiced our skills and enjoyed the river and each other’s company.
