Our group headed to the Ocoee on Thursday, July 8, as a WOR trip, to play, slice and dice the river at an intermediate level. Got to the put-in at 11 and on the river around 11:45, and off the river at 5ish, I think. Mission accomplished: First CCC group that day on the river, last one off. Jennifer, Garrick, Randy from Texas (need a FB link for him!) and I found every play hole, flat spin and most stern squirt spots there are on the river, including at least 30 min at Hell Hole, but had to pass on the last stern squirts because we were worn out. In fact, Garrick even found a slicy slot under a blue undercut, much to his dismay and our entertainment. We ran into the other CCC Ocoee groups and set boat safety below Table Saw, but no takers, only great lines or strong roles. Pizza and beer at Happy Trout in Andrews rounded up the day. Thanks everyone for the great company and the fun, it was my 1st WOR and 1st time leading a trip, which was an easy task with such a strong group. — Frank
