I Can't Log In
Do you not remember your password?
If you do not remember your password, have you selected the "I Forgot my Password" in the upper right to reset your password?
Does your email address not work?
Have you logged in since the site was migrated to the new platform in mid-May, 2011? The old CCC security model allowed members to maintain separate email addresses on the same account, with separate individual logins. The new site does not. You can only log in with the email address previously listed as the "primary" email address on your account.
I'm Logged In, but I don't see the Member Specific information
If your membership expires, you won't be able to access that information any more. You can view your current membership status by looking at your profile under "My Account" on the right hand side of the page.
If you continue to have problems, please email the Membership Chair. Please describe what error message you are getting, and the steps you have tried.
I don't like the new security.
It doesn't matter anyway – it's just the CCC web site. Who cares if they get my account?
~70% of all users share their password across different accounts/websites. Even those people who actually use a strong password for their bank account often use a poor password for email, or use the same password for their email and other web sites (like this one). Consider this – if someone gains access to your email account, they now know effectively everything about you on line. What your bank is, for example. Other places you have accounts, such as Facebook. And they can then reset your password for almost everything by simply using the "Forgot my Password" function on those sites.
In many cases that means people are entrusting their entire financial security to a weak link somewhere.
