2025 Kayak Clinics are a go

Howdy everyone,

Paul Scrutton – your Education chair here. I have come with news of the forthcoming CCC kayak clinics.

This year we have exciting news – we are hoping for a return to the Nantahala. Behind the scenes there has been some hard work to secure a permit to teach on the Nantahala. We are very close to getting the paperwork it’s final sign off, and excited at the prospect of being able to take clinics back to this river after a large absence. If things go as anticipated, this will be the venue for our Intermediate clinic.

We also have a Novice clinic the same weekend which will be held on the Tuckaseegee.

This will allow Novice and Intermediate paddlers to hang out and socialize at the same venue for the weekend.

For beginner paddlers, we are taking a different tack this year and hosting a clinic in the Triangle (Raleigh) area. This will be held on a local lake and a local river.

We are quite excited to bring these clinics to our members. Please sign up and take advantage of one of these excellent value member benefits. I would like to give a shout out to our ACA certified kayak instructors and qualified assistants who volunteer their time to put on these events.

Bookings for these clinics will open on 4/9/25 at 9am. Spaces are limited.
