Local flooding to to intense rains in Bryson City has affected Smoky Mountain Meadows Campground and may force some WOR attendees to seek campsites elsewhere.
If you have a reserved campsite at SMM, you will be accommodated.
If you are hoping to park in the field at SMM, you may do so – but there will be no vehicles allowed in the field. You will have to park along the perimeter of the road and walk to the tent site.
Morning meetings will be held under the pavilion at SMM (the big tent will not be up, as that area will be used for camping).
Other area campground options are available – check the club FB page and CCClist.

Thank you CCCers for your generous hearts and offering to help the less fortunate in Swain County through the Restoration House. Your generosity speaks volumes to the community surrounding Bryson City. Some have asked what is most wanted or needed. Canned meats are always a prized item. Microwaveable meals are especially helpful for someone without traditional cooking resources. Another helpful contribution can be canned meals such as ravioli or spaghetti. You get bonus points for cans that have “pop top” lids. Our neighbors like ramen noodles too so if you’re on a paddler budget, anything will be greatly appreciated by a family going through tough times.
You are all the best! Hope to see you on the river!
