Duke Energy to launch new recreation flow releases in Pee Dee River below Tillery Dam
The CCC Summer Business Meeting will take place on Sunday, July 2nd @ 7 pm. This meeting occurs during Week of Rivers and all CCC members are encouraged to attend. The location is under the canopy by the bathrooms at the campground, Smoky Mountain Meadows.
This is not a full list of all events, but all clinics are below with the link to the registration form! You must be logged into the CCC website with your member username and password to register. The Adult Beginner, Novice, and Intermediate whitewater clinics will be held in the Bryson City, NC area, based out of Turkey Creek Campground (reservations are strongly recommended).
Have you been curious about the weirdos on stand up paddleboards you’ve been seeing more and more frequently on your favorite whitewater rivers? Maybe you’ve thought … hmmm – I might be up for trying that – but just haven’t had the opportunity. Well – round up a paddleboard and join Dale Swanson for a short progression through some fundamental skills for paddling moving water from a free and unfettered standing position.
Since this clinic is designed to get you ready for class 1 and class 2 whitewater please expect and plan to get wet. After all, the companion discipline to whitewater SUP is whitewater swimming.
