Playboating Skills – NOC Staff
Location – Meet just above the old road bridge on river left across from the Freestyle Wave at NOC, Nantahala River
Participants must provide their own boat and paddling gear appropriate for the weather.
Maximum of 10 students.
Tune up your basic playboating and freestyle moves and try more advanced tricks at the Freestyle Wave. Reliable whitewater roll is strongly encouraged.

Participants must provide their own paddling gear appropriate for the weather.
Maximum of 10 students.
Learn or review techniques for helping yourself and your fellow paddlers without getting out of your canoe or kayak. A roll is not required; however, the student must be comfortable performing a wet exit.

2018 Free Level 4 Swift Water Rescue Training!
The Carolina Canoe Club has been given the opportunity to send four of our members FREE OF CHARGE to a level 4 swift water rescue course. Along with this being a free event participants will also be given basic rescue equipment to keep. The organizers have requested that participants have not taken a swift water course before and be actively involved in the paddling community.
