CCC’s commitment to dignity and respect
The Carolina Canoe Club has a long history of partnership with the ACA as a Paddle America Club. We proudly join the ACA’s commitment to being a paddling club in which our members feel a sense of belonging and are treated with dignity and respect. We should talk more about the club’s DEI efforts and zero tolerance policy for harassment of any kind, including sexual harassment. I have had many conversations about this topic during my 2 years as President. Although I only have 3 weeks left in my term, I’m committed to expanding the conversation during my term as Past President. All club members who are involved in CCC events and trips are entitled to enjoy paddling in an environment free of harassment and discrimination. If you have experienced or in the future if you experience harassment or discrimination of any kind at a club event or trip, please immediately notify the CCC Board by contacting the President at President@carolinacanoeclub.org or the Member at Large representative at member.at.large@carolinacanoeclub.org
