In February, Carolina Paddler will start a new series called Different Waters, articles and essays on waterways beyond our native streams. Some of the waters explored will be tranquil and scenic, others will be adventurous and remote. The first in the series will be a piece written by new CCC member, Burt Korneqay, a widely traveled writer, guide and explorer. Gretchen Smith will explain the goals of the Friends of the Lower Haw. Zach Schiada will bushwhack more local waters and tributaries. We’ll hear about experiences with shoulder problems from hurting members. And we’re delighted to bring more coverage to some of the fine young paddlers in the Club. Only in Carolina Paddler.
