Membership approved funds for Advocacy

I wanted to let everyone know that the resolution to provide funds to American Whitewater in support of their efforts on behalf of the Nolichucky was approved.  The vote was 37 in favor and 3 opposed. There were a few comments.  Some suggested that we give more money if the budget permitted.  Two expressed concern that any effort to slow progress on rebuilding the tracks was bad for the economy given the importance of the rail corridor.  Thanks to those who participated in the vote.
