Chris Mattox

Chris Mattox grew up attending Week of Rivers with his family and is now living in Durham, NC working as a Stormwater Engineer. He is an experienced paddler having had opportunities to paddle on rivers and creeks across the country as well as internationally. He is ACA certified as an L3 River Safety Rescue and L4 Swift Water Rescue instructor. In addition to his active certifications, he has an Outdoor Leadership minor from NCSU, experience as an ACA kayaking instructor, and has led dozens of workshops and expeditions over the years. He is collaborative, open-minded, and excited to continue to assist with growing the safety instruction provided with the CCC.
