Officers-Cruise Chair

I started paddling kayaks and canoes when I was ~10 years old, and have actively paddled with the CCC since 2008. While I’m probably best known for paddling the Ocoee, in 2022 I paddled the Haw, Eno, Cape Fear, Ocoee, Nolichucky, Greenbriar, Little, Pigeon, and Youghiogheny, for ~40 days on the water. In my spare time I bike tour and volunteer with the Durham Bike Coop and Red Cross.

I enjoy coordinating trips, and hope to bring that excitement to others! Every year I coordinate a number of trips, including a novice trip in the spring, and Ocoee Drawdown in the fall.

One goal for 2024 is to have an event on the CCC calendar every weekend from mid-March to mid-June to help prepare everyone for an awesome Week of Rivers.  Help a paddler out and post a trip to the calendar? Just think how many trips there would be if everyone posted Just One Trip.
