Paddle Smarter, Not Harder (for Nov/Int) – ?

This one-day clinic takes place on the Nantahala River in Bryson City, NC.   Learn how to paddle more efficiently by using water features to do the work for you!  Can you pull off an effortless single-stroke ferry?  This is what "stylin' a rapid" is all about!  Participants should be comfortable paddling the Nantahala, and have at least a resemblance of a combat roll.  Please contact ? to discuss your skill level before registering.  Maximum 5 participants.  Instructor:  ?

What's Next? for Novices – ?

Have you been practicing your skills all summer and ready to take it up another notch?  This weekend clinic is designed to help novices move forward from what they learned during the spring N/I clinics.  It will likely take place on French Broad Section 9, depending on water level.  Maximum 10 participants.  Instructor: ?

Advanced:

Creeking – ?

Git yer creekin' on!  Learn or brush up your creeking skills with this weekend course.  Location will be determined according to water levels and participants' skill levels.  Maximum 10 participants.  Instructors: ?

First Descent – ?

This clinic will be taught on Class 3/4 whitewater (location TBD), with the purpose of helping participants develop a finer sense of self-reliance by: improving confidence in ‘reading the river’ from a ‘front-boat’ perspective, gaining insight into group dynamics, and suggesting ways to evaluate a given challenge, keeping safety in mind.  A full description of clinic topics is available here.  Maximum 6 participants, with reliable combat roll and comfortable in Class 3/4.  Instructors:  ?

Paddle Smarter, Not Harder (advanced) – ?

This is the advanced version of PSNH, taking place on the Ocoee, at least to start with!  The second day may be held on the Ocoee or Nanty.  Are you just making it down the rapids, or are you styling them with effortless eddy-catching and one-stroke ferries?  Learn how to paddle more efficiently by using water features to do the work for you!  Maximum 8 participants.  Instructors:  ?

Kayak Surfing – ?

Time to take it to the coast!  Learn the tricks to paddling out through breaking waves, surfing them back in, and maybe throwing in something a little fancier.  Maximum 10 participants.  Instructors: ?
