Volunteers Needed – Haw River Bridge Gauges

Bob Brueckner, tireless as ever, has secured permission from the DOT for us to repaint the paddler’s gauges on the bridge at US 64 as well as the Bynum Pedestrian Bridge.  The DOT has also indicated we can add a gauge to the Chicken Bridge.  I can supply the materials, but am looking for volunteer help with the painting.  A stable canoe and some sort of ladder could be helpful in the process.  The water is still relatively low, so this could be a good time to get it done.  Email shanebbrown@gmail.com if you have any interest in helping.
