Evening Activites at WOR 2018

Please take note of the following activies that will take place after paddling througout the week.  Locations for the following will be at Smoky Mountain Meadows unless indicated otherwise:

Wednesday, July 4  7:00 PM – Ice Cream Social

If you're up for some more live music in the evenings, you're in luck!  Our friends at NOC, Mountain Layers Brewing Company, and Nantahala Brewing Company have various bands playing throughout the week.

July 7, Saturday, Somebody’s Child, 1900-2200, Amazing and talented local acoustic duo with a laid back vibe.

June 29, Friday, Jamie Kent, 2000-2300, A "rising country star". Drawing on influences from modern country rock artists, as well as paying tribute to classic greats.

June 30, Saturday, Chalwa, 2000-2300, Based out of Asheville, NC and plays original High Country Reggae. The band consists of a diverse all-star line-up of local musicians. 

July 1, Sunday, Carly Burrus, 2000-2300, Atlanta-based singer/songwriter Carly Burruss is one of the new faces of traditional country music.

July 2, Monday, The Orange Constant, 2000-2300, From Athens, GA the group plays an eclectic and vintage rock sound.

July 3, Tuesday, Grandpa’s Cough Medicine, 2000-2300, An outlaw bluegrass freight train, barreling down the tracks at blazing speeds and letting sparks fly everywhere they go.

July 4, Wednesday, Courtney Lynn and Quinn, 1200-1500, Folk, pop, and soul, living in Charlotte, NC

July 4, Wednesday, Danimal Planet, 1500-1800, Electronic Rock geared towards face melting psychedelia

July 4, Wednesday, Bauner Chaffin, 1800-2100, Blue Rock trio from the Dayton/Cincinnati area 

July 5, Thursday, Andalyn, 2000-2300, Folk music of original compositions alongside a variety of covers. She plays both bass and acoustic guitar, either solo or with a supporting band.

July 6, Friday, Psylo Joe, 2000-2300, Psylo Joe embodies the aspects of improvisation, dance party-funk, inspirational lyrics, and true audience/band connection through their one of a kind live performances

July 7, Saturday, Frank and Allie, 1800-2000, (At The Warehouse, 116 Ramsuer St) Frank and Allie, core duo of longstanding string band The Freight Hoppers, have traveled extensively as touring musicians.

July 7, Saturday, Mac and Juice, 2000-2300, A Quartet, both acoustic and electric, their vast stylistic range is seamlessly translated into every original song and cover. Alternative rock.
