Paddling with the Profs: 25 in 25

Friday, March 28 thru Saturday, March 29

This will be an overnight paddle down the Yadkin River, launching from the 801 put-in north of 64 and ending at the Yadkin River Park. There will be an overnight camp at Boone’s Cave Park. This event is an opportunity for professors, students, and avid paddlers from across North Carolina to participate in a fun, 2-day paddle to raise money for the non-profit, Paddling4Pennies.

Paddling4Pennies, is an organization supporting first responders and veterans (and families) who suffer from physical, mental, and emotional trauma.

Additionally, HYPE, is the student-run advertising agency at the High Point University School of Communications, and this event offers students the opportunity to plan, coordinate, market, and hold a real event.

If you are a prof, a student, or an avid paddler – come join us for this 2-day, 25-mile paddle in 2025!

All participants in any Carolina Canoe Club (CCC) trip do so as common adventurers. The CCC or its individual members may coordinate paddling trips but no one is considered leader of a trip. As common adventurers, all participants take the responsibility for making their own decisions including, but not limited to, whether it is safe for them to participate on any particular water body, what equipment they need and use, the routes they may choose to paddle, whether their skill levels and abilities are adequate for the activity or whether climate and water conditions are appropriate for their participation. Participants are exclusively responsible for their own safety.

Individual coordinators for all CCC activities set requirements per their sole discretion. The CCC does not necessarily endorse or approve requirements set by coordinators.
