Annual CCC Week of Rivers Used Gear Sale.
Extra paddling and outdoor gear taking up too much room? Come sell it during Week of Rivers. Bring your gear down to the designated area near the Smoky Mountain Meadows Campground Pavilion. Carefully mark the gear with your name, phone number, email address, campsite number and asking price. Recommend using an index card inside a ziplock bag, attached with tape, or duct tape and sharpie. Your choice. Items will be purchased on the honor system. CCC and SMMCG and WOR organizers take no responsibility for lost, damaged, missing or stolen goods. The system works , but there are jerks out there.
If you want it to sell, price it to sell. If, after several days, your item has not sold, no one is interested or the price is too high. All unsold items need to be collected by Saturday July 6 at 5:00 pm.
During the lost and found portion of the morning meeting, you can try to find the seller of an item you want to purchase.
All participants in any Carolina Canoe Club (CCC) trip do so as common adventurers. The CCC or its individual members may coordinate paddling trips but no one is considered leader of a trip. As common adventurers, all participants take the responsibility for making their own decisions including, but not limited to, whether it is safe for them to participate on any particular water body, what equipment they need and use, the routes they may choose to paddle, whether their skill levels and abilities are adequate for the activity or whether climate and water conditions are appropriate for their participation. Participants are exclusively responsible for their own safety.
Individual coordinators for all CCC activities set requirements per their sole discretion. The CCC does not necessarily endorse or approve requirements set by coordinators.
