Friday: Nantahala gorge: Jamilla Squires, Jim Wendling, Art Berg (PFD!), Me. Had a cloudy, cool day to warm up our first day of the weekend. Sprinked a litlle but was really great to be back on the river.
Saturday: Upper Nantahala (250)- Martha Mount, Jamilla Squires. Nantahala gorge- me, joe mount, larry ausley, joe and tammy laurick, jen fahey, randy welch, John McDonald, Dana Lapple, Brian McPherson. Great weather, confidence builder day. Some folks got to the falls and demo'ed boats from NOC. Saturday night was the Spring Fling at NOC and ERA. I won a new PFD from Stohlquest and my good friend Phil Wilson won a new boat.
Sunday: Upper Nanty (350) Jamila Squires, Martha Mount, Joe Mount, me, the ginger ninja, Shannon. This was my first time on the upper and it was a hoot from top to bottom. Some folks thought the Upper might be too crowded, but I thought it was about the same level of crowd as a day on the Ocoee. Some waiting for waves and eddys.
